What to Make of Tab Trade - A New CFD Broker in 2026
The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities institutional desks use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently coming. That would be a good addition once it is live.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Good for beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the part that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. But inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
